In StaffIo, both tasks and incidents have a clear lifecycle and automatic escalation up the supervisor structure. Nothing is left unacknowledged or unresolved.

• A twelve-state task lifecycle (from draft through assignment and progress to approval) with a default acknowledgement deadline of 15 minutes.
• Three task completion modes – self-marked, photo required, or supervisor approval.
• Incidents with their own lifecycle and timeline; closing requires supervisor approval.
• Automatic escalation up the supervisor tree – unacknowledged task at 5 / 10 / 15 minutes, incident at 3 / 5 / 10 minutes.
• Open sign-up tasks, dependencies between tasks, and staff-initiated requests to a supervisor.
• Effort tracking on a task – start, completion, and individual segments.
